Importance of Career and Technical Education
One of the major components of the Rosebud-Lott ISD bond proposal is the expansion of career and technical education (CTE) programs.
“These programs, which include welding, robotics, and cybersecurity, equip students with hands-on skills that are in high demand in today’s economy. If the bond is approved, the district will be able to create additional space and resources for these programs, allowing more students to benefit,” RLISD Board President Emily Hering said.
Expanding CTE offerings will provide students with the opportunity to graduate with industry-recognized certifications, making them more competitive in the job market. Additionally, the bond will enhance dual credit programs, enabling students to earn college credits while still in high school, saving families money on tuition. This bond is an investment in our students' futures, preparing them for both higher education and the workforce.
