The Cougar band competed in the UIL Area Marching competition Saturday and returned with more hardware and a ticket to the State Marching competition this Saturday.
The band continued its tradition of excellence by earning straight 1s from the judges, the best that a band could earn in competition. Their show, The Heist, was designed to capture attention and it seems like it worked. With music by Billy Eilish and Coolio, the band brought modern music and theatrical elements to the competition.
The Roaring Cougar band will compete at the state competition on October 31st, at 8am, in the Alamodome in San Antonio.
