Pathways to Technology Early College High School

Rosebud-Lott High School is implementing it’s first full year as a P-TECH school. Rosebud-Lott ISD with its partners, Texas State Technical College, Butler Weldments, and Incommons Bank offers an early college program that will prepare Rosebud-Lott students for careers in the fields of welding and cybersecurity.

Mission: To create a bridge form high school to career success for all students – through a free, early-college associate degree program that builds skills and offers career experiences in Welding and Cybersecurity.

Vision: To become the school of choice in Central Texas.

The first year of the P-TECH program (2021-2022) was the planning phase. In this phase, Rosebud-Lott ISD worked to create program policies, develop rigorous courses, establish partnerships, and upgrade facilities and equipment to offer P-TECH students college-level courses directed toward careers in welding and cybersecurity. In school year 2022-2023, students will have earned college credit toward an industry-recognized associate degree and recieve hands-on work experience in a field of study tied to in-demand occupations for our region.

In 2023-2024, the current P-TECH students will continue to develop their skills in college courses and work with industry partner mentors to become work-force ready. The new cohort of students will begin the program with the support of both adult and student mentors.

The P-TECH program is offered at absolutely no cost to the students.
