Theatre Arts Course Syllabus
Theatre Arts is a course incorporating basic acting techniques, the role of the actor in interpreting dramatic literature, the historical evolution of performance styles and an overview of the technical elements necessary to theatre production. The class involves theatre games and exercises, as well as working from textbooks and acting scripts.
Daily Work and Participation – 70%
Tests, Quizes, Performances, and Projects – 30%
This classroom is a zero tolerance classroom. Students are not permitted to possess such items as pagers, radios, CD players, tape recorders, camcorders, DVD players, cameras, electronic devices, games or telecommunications devices unless prior permission has been obtained from the teacher.
Chewing gum, food, and drinks
Gum is NOT allowed. You will be speaking in class and no one can speak properly with gum in their mouth. Drinks and Food are also NOT allowed in the classroom. The one and only exception is water.
